Bidhaa Sasa Limited is a last-mile, direct-to-consumer distributor that blends group-based sales with simple asset finance to reach low-income rural households in Kenya and eastern Uganda. The company sells and finances a focused basket of life-improving goods across clean cooking (biomass, LPG, EPCs), solar lighting, smallholder agriculture tools, and water storage/filters, leveraging women’s networks, door-to-door delivery, and mobile money installments over 4–12 months. It partners with established manufacturers such as BioLite and Proto Energy, has served 90k+ rural customers with 130k+ products, and maintains hub-and-fulfillment coverage across Kenya and Uganda.

 

Spark+ has provided tripartite distributor financing with BioLite to fund inventory for the flagship biomass stove line and smooth long import lead times. Proceeds will stabilize stock availability, support planned regional hub expansion, and scale affordable clean cooking access for rural women borrowers.
