NewGas Cylinder Bottling Ltd. (“NewGas”) is an LPG bottling company within the Ghanaian-owned Arch Holdings group, whose portfolio spans petroleum trading and distribution, terminals and infrastructure, power, and technology. NewGas was established to drive Arch’s wood-fuels-to-LPG conversion strategy and to operationalize Ghana’s Cylinder Recirculation Model (CRM), supplying safely filled, company-owned cylinders into a national exchange network. Its first large-scale plant in Tema is operational, with a second facility planned for Kumasi and four additional satellite plants positioned to deepen nationwide coverage.

Spark+ financing will seed CRM operations and scale NewGas’s cylinder-exchange model, enabling NewGas to procure approximately 218,000 cylinders of varying sizes, finance working capital for initial roll-out, and complete the multi-plant build-out beginning with Tema and followed by Kumasi and satellites. The facility converts NewGas’s industrial capacity into last-mile availability of safe LPG, replacing traditional wood fuels at scale while aligning with national CRM policy.
